About the Event
I want to share information with you about this dynamic event Unfinished: Actualizing an Intersectional Antiracist Future, that is occurring virtually on April 8th and 9th hosted by the Center for Transformative Action at Mills College. Inspired by Amanda Gormon's inauguration quote, “...somehow we’ve weathered and witnessed a nation that isn’t broken but simply unfinished", How can we seize this moment of national reckoning to turn our collective vision into an equitable and just world for all people? What must change in order for us to achieve inclusion? Join us as we move from reimagining to actualizing the future of our wildest dreams.  On April 9th at 1pm I will be moderating a conversation on "Keeping Oakland BIPOC" with Trevor Parham, CEO of Oakstop and Co-Founder of Oakland Black Business Fund, Carolyn Johnson, CEO of Black Cultural Zone, Cindy Wu, ED of Bay Area LISC, and Regina Davis, who has been instrumental in developing mixed-use, transit-oriented real estate development projects in Oakland including Mandela Station at West Oakland BART.
